Role Overview
M. Allen is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Managing Director and Partner to lead client development and acquisition efforts. This pivotal role will work closely with Founder & CEO Matt Slonaker to expand our client portfolio, forge strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a seasoned sales and business development leader with a proven track record in Financial Services, Fin-tech, or B2B industries, adept at navigating complex sales cycles, and passionate about delivering transformative outcomes for clients.
As a Partner, you’ll play a key role in shaping M. Allen’s growth trajectory, leveraging your expertise to attract high-value clients, enhance our market presence, and contribute to the firm’s strategic vision. Key Responsibilities
- Client Development & Acquisition:
- Identify, target, and secure new clients in Financial Services, Fin-tech, and related B2B sectors, focusing on organizations struggling with sales pipeline stagnation, ineffective lead generation, or misaligned sales and marketing efforts.
- Build and nurture a robust pipeline of prospective clients through strategic outreach, networking, and relationship-building.
- Leverage M. Allen’s proven methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC qualification, multi-threading) to qualify opportunities and close high-value deals.
- Strategic Partnership Building:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, economic buyers, and decision-makers to position M. Allen as a trusted growth partner.
- Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that enhance client acquisition and market penetration.
- Consultative Sales Leadership:
- Act as a trusted advisor to prospective clients, diagnosing their pain points (e.g., poor pipeline health, objection handling, sales productivity) and presenting tailored M. Allen solutions.
- Drive multi-threaded engagement with client organizations, ensuring alignment across multiple stakeholders early in the sales cycle.
- Revenue Growth & Collaboration:
- Partner with the M. Allen team to design and deliver customized strategies that address client challenges, such as lead generation, revenue optimization, and sales team alignment.
- Contribute to a 25%+ increase in client lead generation and revenue growth, mirroring our proven success stories.
- Thought Leadership & Brand Elevation:
- Represent M. Allen at industry events, webinars, and forums to showcase our expertise and attract new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop content (e.g., case studies, whitepapers) that highlights M. Allen’s impact and draws in prospective clients.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or client acquisition, with a focus on Financial Services, Fin-tech, or B2B industries.
- Proven success in driving revenue growth and securing high-value clients in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Prior leadership experience as a Chief Revenue Officer, Managing Director, or similar senior role is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Expertise in sales qualification methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC) and objection handling related to ROI and value propositions.
- Strong network of industry contacts and a demonstrated ability to engage economic buyers and decision-makers.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging analytics to optimize sales strategies and pipeline health.
